Video Game Music

I love video game music, as many of you know I used to own a small chain of comic stores called the Gamers Lounge and we used tohave video game music playing day and night. Latley I have a theme fro the orginal ninja turtles NES game stuck in my head.

I need to make some tunes like that, if anyone wants to submit a video game like tuen to be the AlexMerced.com theme that would be cool, defnetely reward the resulting theme with some schwag.

Post #3 - Burn Notice and Math

Hey Guys,

I don't know if you've seen the newest episode of Burn Notice on Hulu.com but it's a pretty good episode. I've got more and more into the show a I been introduced to it this season, Spencer the Mathematician was a great choice for this weeks "client".

The funny thing it brings back fond memories of my years at Cheney RVTS in connecticut (my high school), where I was part of the Math League, while I was pretty good at math, I was the worse scorer of the team my first two years till my third year on the team when I was one of the top scorers. At this time in my life I still was really into programming and computers, it was calculus that eventually led me to drop that and pursue more interpersonal skills making me the charming fellow I am today.

As you can tell, I'm not good in competition as illustrated as my brief but famous tenure in pee wee soccer where we lost ever game except the one I missed, maybe I was born to lose, but damn do I lose in style ;).

Make sure to listen to this weeks episode of Panda vs. Shark which I should be recording later this afternoon.

Post # 2 - KINGS where art though

I have to say episode 10 of kings, "Javelin", had to bethe most amazing episode yet, and probably the most emotionally tense episode of any show I've ever seen. While it's bittersweet that entirety of this series ends in 3 more episodes, having everythingjam packed into one season has made it onehell of a show. Watch it on Hulu.com if you arn't already doing so.

In other news you may notice the link in the menu to the Panda Vs.Shark podcast, the first episode is up which is more of an explanation of episodesto come, my friend Deidra saids she might join me on future episodes of Panda vs. Shark.

Right now I'm just watching all my netflix movies and enjoying finally a moment along which I havn't had in weeks, I miss playing apples to apples on a regular basis.

Also I'm contemplating getting back into Magic: The Gathering, any groups in the NYC area want to adopt a player?

Post #1 - An Intro to El Geek

As you might of read on the homepage, I'm making this a hometo talk about my geeky endeavors and rant about my favorite shows. Too bad the current seasons of Chuck and Lost are over cause I love those shows and wax philosophic with no problem, but oh well.

I'm in love with Kings, which is canceled but they are still airing the remaining of it's 13 episode run. I also watch the listener, Burn Notice, and Merlin currently all at Hulu.com.

This week I'm just gonna post every episode so far of kings for you all to watch cause it's awesome! But in the future I'll talk about all my geek endeavors to display some of my geekiest and most amusing moment of life.

Here's a taste:

When I was in high school, I went to a regional vocation school, and I studied microcomputer as my vocation but a lot of the time we spent slacking and coding really bad Iron Chef like games in C++. One day we came up with a game called Office Boredom Rally where we threw blank cd's at each others open drawers to make points and had to block them physically which results in many cuts, gashes and broken cds.

Was I geek... yes. Now for episodes of Kings, the best show that never was.
